The Penn Latin American and Latino Studies Program (LALS) presents The Other 9/11 – Memories: Geography of a Decade, Chile 1973-1983 by art collection owners and curators Gustavo Gac-Artigas and Dr. Priscilla Gac-Artigas. Commemorating the 45th anniversary of the 1973 Chilean coup, The Other 9/11 is an exhibit of over 100 pieces of artwork and photos that capture with vivid imagery, exquisite detail and artistic expression of the intensity, terror, suffering and diversity of experiences during and after the September 11th military coup. Please be aware that this exhibit contains some images with graphic and violent content.

 

The exibitit is open for viewing during all regular Box Office hours, except during a special event September 24-25.  Join us on September 11 from 6 PM - 8 PM for an opening night reception with the collection owners and curators!
