This year's Higginbotham Lecture features Ta-Nehisi Coates, author of We Were Eight Years in Power: An American Tragedy, writer of Black Panther comic series, and national correspondent for The Atlantic Magazine.  Coates will speak in conversation with Dr. Camille Charles, Walter H. and Leonore C. Annenberg Professor in the Social Sciences, Professor of Sociology, and Africana Studies & Education Director, Center for Africana Studies. This lecture is free and open to the public.

Coates' new book We Were Eight Years in Power: An American Tragedy will be on sale at the event and is available to pre-order when you register at the link below.
