We don't need a trip to New York; the Penn happenings bear fruit year-round. Its home to some of the greatest entertainment in the region - along with at a price we can afford. My name is A. Walton Hill. And as a Penn alum (WG75) returning and Living for 19 years to the Philadelphia area, I don't believe I've ever been more excited by opportunities like these. In fact, you can be completely surprised by all it has to offer.
And the Beat Goes on
at Penn Presents or Dance Celebration at the Annenberg Center or Irvine Auditorium. If you've not been to one yet - don't miss out on these easy on the pocket escapes. It's amazing what good entertainment experiences do for your attitude. Let the music roar. We don't need a trip to New York our International theatre, music and dance pleasures. The Penn event trees - bear fruit year-round. -- A. Walton Hill, (Walt)
My most recent experience at Penn Presents was seeing Eddie Palmieri in concert with my wife. What an experience! It was a hot! hot! hot! night of electrifying Latin jazz. Our 4th row from the stage seats were perfect and we felt blown away from the experience. Eddie Palmieri is a world class musician and his band (especially his trumpeter) was incredible. It was my first time at the Zellerbach theater and I was taken by it's cozy yet professional set up. There didn't seem to be a bad seat in the house making it a very good bargain. Since then I now receive your e-mailings and look forward to returning for more in your Latin jazz series. Thank you! -- David De Silva
I must say that I have enjoyed every presentation/play/kids program that we have attended. Each year we have gone to at least one International Children's presentation. If it weren't for the discounts that would not be possible. I am looking forward to the tap show at the end of the year. Annenberg is a great space, no bad seat. -- Paula Greenberg,
It was a very engaging evening not only because of the musicians' talents but also because of the expressiveness and responsiveness and diversity of the audience. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening. -- Dianne Loufman
My wife and I had a great time at the concert. The venue is intimate and warm. The concessions and lobby experience were fine. The ushers were polite and courteous
Last year we belonged to the Kimmel Jazz series and felt much more relaxed and treated to better acoustics for jazz at Penn! -- Tad Nowinski
We often go to the Annenberg to become familiar with groups that we have never heard or seen before. I have never been disappointed with taking a chance to listen to a new group. I have been attending Annenberg performances for several years. I have always found the staff to be professional and attentive. I enjoyed the Gospel series last year and I am attending the Gospel and Blues Series this year. I liked the idea of dinner before the performance. (one stop shopping) My experience at the Annenberg has always been a pleasant one. It affords an opportunity to sit back, unwind and enjoy a wonderful performance. Thanks! -- Regina M. Welker
Seeing "Appalacian Spring" once again and introducing it to another generation (my friend's granddaughter) was a rite of passage. The performance was beyond description. Before this, I was not aware that Martha Graham did the costumes and music. What a season's opening! -- Mimi Grimes
The performance was wonderful. The presentation was stellar, the customer service at the box office was wonderful, the ushers and the concessions were also wonderful. As for the concessions, I was surprised and delighted to see the that prices were not as bloated as they normally are. This was my first show at the Annenberg Center, and I look forward to visiting again. Keep up the good work! Thanks, -- Faith Wallace-Gadsden
